Top 5 Products of 2010

Happy New Years!!!! (all late lol) Well haven't written on here for a while. Seems like everytime I blog I say that LOL Well it's just I been super busy with work. After Christmas retail went CRAZY! Well for us haha I think it was all the foreigners in Houston. They must have all went home :/ Cause now it's super boring and the mall is just.. DEAD. But anywho lol I been wanting to do this topic since December started lol. Got super distracted on actual New Years week. But ehh I'm gonn go ahead and do it now lol

#1 Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Started using this I believe in October 2009. Haven't stopped since then. I love this primer. Keeps my eyeshadow on ALL day. My eyeshadow never creases and it makes cheaper eyeshadows easier to blend. Also it seems to make my eyeshadows appear brighter and with higher pigmentation. I have used Urban Decay's Primer Potion before and I just prefer Too Faced because of the pigmentation it gives my eyeshadows. Also I prefer the tube. I know UD has a new tube thingy. But I think I'll stick to this :D

#2 Diorshow Blackout Mascara

Blackout was an impulse buy. I was working and right after work I was leaving on a trip to San Antonio. I really needed waterproof mascara since I was going to be in a pool the whole trip lol. I went to Sephora trying to find a cheap mascara. (i know yea right lol) I wanted anything less than 25$. I was just walking down the aisles and saw the Dior section and remembered seeing this mascara in Cosmo. When I saw it in Cosmo I was like oh pretty packaging. So uhm yes I bought it cause it was pretty and it was waterproof. Lmao I have used MUFE's Smoky Lash and Smashbox's Lash DNA thought they are good mascaras they never compared to CoverGirl's Lash Blast. So I think God intended for me to spend 24$ (see i stayed in budget) on this mascara lol. Love this!!!!! It is the blackest mascara I have ever used. The only downside is that it clumps easily so I have to apply this very slowly so i can get the full effect without clumping. But it gives my eyelashes a pretty volumizing look and idk I just love it!

#3 MAC's Studio Finish Concealer
This little pot can cover anything!!! lol I use this in the shade NW30. This covers my dark circles and puffy eyes better than any concealer I've used. A little bit goes a long way. This concealer can cake up easily if you use a lot. And when I started using it, it settled into my fine lines :/ But I apply it with a concealer brush and then blend it with my fingers. The warmness of ur finger makes it not as cakey feeling. lol If that made sense...

#4 Kat Von D's Autograph Eyeliner

I use this in the color "Puro Amor" a matte jet black color. I love that it's matte. I'm actually thinking of purchasing more of the other colors. I love the brush applicator.  I love how versatile I can be with it I can either have a thin line or a very thick line. It's easily buildable. And this makes it SO easy to make a perfect cat eye. I wear this everyday!

#5 Urban Decay Naked Palette
If I had to pick my top favorite product of 2010 it would be this! Best purchase I have ever made. I wasn't going to buy this because I have the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette. The colors are very similar. But I saw so many reviews before it came out. People were raving about this. I actually got this the day it came out in Sephora and it was the last one left. I got this thinking it would be ok. Uhm I use this almost every day at work. The colors are so rich and creamy and blendable and uhhh LOVE THEM. You can create a natural barely there makeup look or a very smoky dramatic look. I feel very lucky to have one of these because I know how hard people are looking to get one of these now D=
Haha I have one! XP lol jk

I will surely be using these products in 2011 but I'm hoping to find new loves as well. So far I am loving NARS Sheer Glow foundation. I've been using it for a week now and I love it. I think it's going to become part of my permanent collection. I am also loving SugarPill. I purchased a couple of loose eyeshadows and the Burnin Heart Pressed Eyeshadow Palette. Very pigmented colors. I am also looking forward to trying more ELF products. I want to try more Nars blushes. Hope MAC comes out with good collections this year. I am hoping to find a good setting powder for dry skin!!! Any suggestions?
